The time draws near for Kansas City’s annual gathering of tomato aficionados. On August fourth, James Worley will host the annual tomato tasting. James Worley will be hosting a Tomato Tasting at Roe Park. It is always a festive convergence of good food and interesting people. Worley is a longtime gardener and generous spirit who always has an encouraging word for gardeners of any vintage. And Keith Mueller, a local tomato breeder, always brings a spectacular array of his latest experimental varieties. The big news this year Local Pig will be providing bacon for BLT sliders.
If you are a grower, bring tomatoes! If you are a budding tomato enthusiast, bring a dish that compliments tomatoes.
