Cuor Di Bue

Cuor Di Bue

Almost too Beautiful to Slice

We adore the heart-shaped, sweet tasting Cuor Di Bue. An Italian Oxheart variety, this tomato is similar to Kosovo, a variety we thoroughly enjoyed last year. Every time Farmer T harvests a Cuor Di Bue, he exclaims, “We are going to grow a lot of these next year!”

With a solid taste, this tomato has been a favorite on sandwiches and in salads, and Farmer J is looking forward to using this meaty fruit in her tomato sauces.

i knew you guys would love this one! Do you have other hearts? I have Bull’s Heart, Reif Red Heart, Linnie’s Oxheart…all are stellar.

A sweet tomato. One of my favorites now. Not prolific for me, but worth growing at least one plant for a gourmet treat or more maybe if I decide to freezer can. I even sow seedlings for friends to give them a treat in their garden. Mine rarely look like hearts but occasionally one will grow “pretty.”
